31 days challenge - inspired by a color

I had no idea what to do for today... I searched for inspiration in other girls challenges but I guess all of us were confused with this one... I was thinking all the time about something inspired by red color and since there is this craziness about The Hunger Games and a lot of girs make "Girl on fire" inspired manis I decided to do something similar.
Inspired by red - fire.

I used: Essence - Red-y to go, Nails inc - Piccadilly circus, Essence - Hypnotic poison.

31 days challenge - water marbled

Water marbling is how I discovered nail art. I was looking for some make-up tutorials in Google and I found Colette blog. It was in February or March 2011. I tried water marbling only once since then, it was acutually my very first nail art :) I remember I didn't protect my fingers with tape and I put my fingers all the way down in water... So you can imagine how much of a clean up I had ;)
Today I did two water marbles... My first nail today (index finger on first photo) was nearly perfect! I hoped all next marbles will be so nice and easy... Haha, I wish. It was getting worse and worse... After few hours, when my anger for water marbling went away, I tried again, with different polishes. It turned out a bit better :)

For first water marbling I used OPI - Alpine Snow as a base, Max Factor - Intense Plum, Disco pink and Chilled Lilac.

For this water marble I used OPI - Alpine Snow as a base, Missguided - Misstique, LA Colors nail art polishes in white and black. I also added two layers of Essence glitter topcoat.

31 days challenge - tribal print

I don't understand the idea of tribal nail art - where it come from, what is supposed to be on nails, how do I decide is it a tribal print or not? I typed "tribal nail art tutorial" to google and I decided to use this one. That's what I created:

I really liked it and I'm sure I'll do tribal nail art in future :)
For this mani I used coral pink no name Miss Sporty polish (it look like orange, not coral pink on this photo...), Essence - Break trough and LA Colors nail art polish in black.

31 days challenge - delicate print

I had no idea what to do for this challenge, I had a lot of ideas but finally I decided to do something totally different :P Something simple and quick :) I used Collection 2000 - Marshmellow with Essence - Space Queen over it. Then I freehanded french tips using OPI - Alpine Snow. But it still looked plain to me so using this as inspiration I created this:

Sorry for bad quality of the picture but when I used more ligh while taking pictures my nails looked like they are all white... I don't know what I was doing wrong... :P

31 days challenge - stripes FAIL

My first free handed stripes. One big fail... I didn't want to struggle with it anymore and do it again and again so I decided to post it here anyway... And yes, I know it looks horrible ;)
I used Essence - Ultimate pink and Max Factor - Disco pink as a base, each on two nails. They are exact dupes. For stripes I used Essence - Very Berry and Essence - Enchanted fairy.

Glossybox March 2012 uk

On Monday I recived my March Glossybox Harrods edition.

I was really excited about this box as Harrods ediotion was supposed to be very exclusive. My disappointment started when I saw reviews of this box on other blogs. I was only happy that I may recive Burberry lipstick. Of course that was one of things that wasn't included in my box... Anyway. Here's what I get:

Valentino - Valentina eau de parfum A daring & addictive, oriental, floral fragrance. A true feminine classic, twisted with the pure insolence of Italian ingredients.
Are you kidding me? Seriously, I can get it in every perfume store while buying something. I expected something more from Glossybox than 1,5ml (0,05 fl oz)! Anyway... I like this scent, but it's not something that I'd like to wear. It's way to fruity for me.

Molton Brown - Vitalising vitamin AB+C bath & shower Vitamin-rich fruit extracts boost the skin and invirogate the senses. 50ml (1,7 fl oz)
Again. I get shower gel again. Thank you Glossybox, that's exactly what I need... I didn't have time to try it yet, so all I can say is that I really like scent of this gel.

SKII - Skin signature An anti-ageing moisturising cream which helps to re-condition the skin, improve its resilience and leave the complexion smooth and radiant. 15ml (0,5 fl oz)
As I love SK-II creams I was really happy to recive this product. It has nice, delicate and subtle scent. Thanks to good consistency you don't need much of it to cover your face so even a small sample like this will last long. Love it!

Lancome - Hypnose drama mascara Instant full body volume.
Again - are you kidding me? Whole 2ml! I love scent of this mascara. There's nothing more I can say about it since I haven't use it yet.

Clarins - Extra-firming body cream A formula rich in regenerating and firming plant extracts which immediately helps to lift and tone, for firmer skin and a younger looking body. 30ml (1 oz)
This product is non scented and has thick consistency. Leaves your skin smooth and nice.

Shu Uemura - Cleansing beauty oil A 3 in 1 cleanser, make-up remover and eye make-up remover that leaves skin soft, balanced and non-oily.
Another joke. 4ml (0,13 fl oz)... Usually in Cosmo/Glamour you can find bigger samples...
I haven't possibility to try face oils yet but I've read a lot about it on beauty blogs. I'm excited to try it out and probably buy it if I'd like it (around £22,4 with Glossybox discount 20%). I didn't use it yet, I'm waiting for a day that I'll finally wear make-up :P

31 days challenge - blue

Hello everyone :)
Today I have another very simple mani. I have lack of inspiration lately... I used one coat of Essence - Let's get lost as a base and on my thumb and ring finger I added one coat of Max Factor - Graffiti. On each nail i glued small blue flower shaped rhinestones (again from "everything for one pound" store).

31 days challenge - green

Hi, I had no idea what to do with my nails today and all I came up with was a really bad inerpretation of this. But after I did this desing on four of my fingers and put them all together (unfortunately I have no photo as I don't have third hand :p) it looked like four leaves clover :) So it wasn't that bad after all, but I removed this from my nails after about 10h, I just couldn look at this without being disappointed with myself...
I used Inglot - 696 (or 969, nobody knows...) as a base and Essence - Choose me! for clover leaves.

Rebbeca likes nails contest

Hi everybody, here's my design for Rebbeca likes nails contest.
I used OPI - Alpine snow for base, then I used some Miss Sporty no name polish at the top of OPI. Then I sponged light pink Collection 2000 (another no name) but it was so sheer that you can barely see it, and at the end of the gradient I used Essence - Very Berry. Later on I painted hidious bows using Essence nail art pen in black. I really don't like using it and it was third and the last time I used it, I put it in the bin. Worst nail art pen I ever used. To "fill" bows I used another no name, one of Wibo polishes. I used it also on my ring finger as a middle of the leopard desing (freehand with dotting tool using black Hema polish). As the center of a bow i used rhinestones from some "everything for one pound" store.

31 days challenge - orange

For this mani I used Essence - Wake up!, one of Primark polishes (orange) and Essence - Mellow Yellow. Primark polish is a neon orange that I used on the left side of my nails and at first it looked really good, the difference between colors was visible. But unfortunately after it dry you could barely tell the difference between Essence and Primark polish... Only in sunlight it looked ok but I had no chance to take a photo of this mani in natural light. I had big troubles with catching colors, none of them is accurate. So, here it is:

On one of my photos all the colors was good, but only on on of nails:

31 days challenge - red

Hello :)
My first day of 31 days challenge. On almost all blogs we could see other bloggers spending 31 days of their lives doing same thing, painting their nails in same order. And now it's my turn. Here what I have for my first task - colors: red.
As a base I used Essence - Red-y to go, then I painted hearts with white Art Deco dedicated to nail art and at the and I added some more red accents with OPI - The one that got away.

essence red-y to go opi the one that go away heart nail art

Of course its not perfect, but I'm just a begginer, hopefully after some time I'll get better with free hand paintings :)
